Weight Training Tips

There are several reasons to begin a weight lifting regimen. You may want to bulk up, tone up, or just maintain a younger looking body. No matter what your goal is, these tips will help you get the most out of your weight lifting workouts.
1. Have a plan. Make sure you know what you want to accomplish, and stick to it.

2. Nutrition. Cut out the refined sugars and high fat foods. I like to have an acai berry smoothie prior to workout for that extra energy burst. After the workout I will load up on protein either with some chicken or tuna, or a protein bar.

3. Drink lots of water. Not just on workout days, but everyday make sure you are getting enough water to feed your muscles.

4. Rest and recover. Allow your muscles time to rest and rebuild. Take a day off after weight lifting sessions to let your muscles rest and you will see better results faster.

5. Mixup your routine. Change not only weight, but variations of the workout to ensure your muscles don’t get used to your routine.

Knowing what you want to accomplish and how you will do it are keys to a successful weright lifting program. If you stick to your plan, you will lose weight and gain muscle.
